Joe Namath was a game-changer. When he signed to play quarterback for the New York Jets, he changed the landscape of the National Football League. Player signing raids ended and peace was declared between the NFL and its rival American Football League. When he guaranteed the victory and then delivered it in Super Bowl III, he changed the image of the AFL and put it on equal footing with the NFL. In this presentation, veteran sportswriter Hal Bock reviews the career of Broadway Joe and the impact he had on America's favorite sport.
