Event Details

WWII historian Keith Matturro presents a detailed look at the various surrender of German armed formations following the suicide of Adolf Hitler on April 30, 1945. The events leadings up to the surrenders, the formal ceremonies, the subsequent surrenders of holdout "fortresses" and the forced dissolution of the post-Hitler "caretaker" German government on May, 23, 1945 will be discussed.
